1. If you want Beef as the captain I like blood baron beef myself for a name
2. Kurt could jump off himself to save Wolfie who was thrown off because the crew doesn't appreciate dogs and that's how it happens
3.i like the idea of team canada but I don't think Beef would be the best choice for a captain because he's nice and wouldn't be able to order everyone around. I'm thinking more along the lines of Pause as the captain and Beef and Etho as first and second mates. I think that Zisteau as the rebellious sailor would be good. Maybe having him try and help Kurt stay out of trouble because the other shipmates don't like him and are trying to get rid of him?
You could also use team Nancey drew as the crew and have Guude as the captain and Zisteau could still be there? That could be an alternative.
I like your idea for the captain being Guude or Pause, so I'll probably use that. And they're kinda trying to get rid of them, but it's more along the lines that Kurt is the navigator of a rival, more bloodthirsty pirate ship (captained by the B-Team) and the captain wants to put Kurt in the brig/prison on the ship. Z is completely opposed to this as he is fascinated with Kurt a little bit (it's also a little bit of love-at-first-sight). This also kinda ties into how Kurt fell off because since Z's going to be the surgeon,he needs to make an excuse that Kurt can't go into the brig, so he says he needs to check up on him.
Kurt could have it scurvy while out at sea and Z will have to take care of that before he goes into the brig but keeps playing it up to keep Kurt out longer.
If there's going to be a K/Z in this story the the other ship mates (who aren't the captain) have to tease Zisteau about Kurt at least a little.
Are the two ships going to meet up at the end? Like the b team demanding their navigator back and then the other ship doesn't want to give him back because he's become a valuable asset to them. So it ends in a large sea battle for Kurt. Both ships get destroyed, Z and Kurt get separated and manage to find a desert Island where they live happily ever after eating fish and coconuts :P

Also, can you think of any obscene rumors that are related to any "running gags" Kurt has? Because it's going to be like Kurt is knew throughout the world of being a fantastic navigator, so he has all these crazy rumors.
My own ideas: Rumor, Kurt is on a journey to space and this is a small side quest. Rumor, Kurt is actually an alien. Rumor, he might be cursed by the far lands.
Sub-reddit ideas: Rumor, Beef is the one who taught Kurt how to walk and lost his ability in the process. Running joke, Know simply as the Iron Kurtain. Running joke: When Kurt shows up on UHC, panic ensues.
